E-COATING is designed to reduce heat gain in buildings through solar reflection and thermal emission without using electricity.

PDRC Principles
  1. The materials have high solar reflectance to reflect majority of sunlight at 250 nm to 2500 nm.

  2. The materials have high thermal emissivity to emit long-wave infrared heat at 8 μm to 13 μm.

Excellent Performance

Based on our experiment test, the model with e-coating on its roof consistently maintained cooler indoor environments during daylight hours.

The average temperature reduction was recorded with the peak reduction reaching as high as 8.6°C. This significant difference in temperature demonstrates the effectiveness of the e-coating in providing a cooler and more comfortable indoor space.
